Today is Giving Tuesday, and we're asking you to make an impact by investing in and empowering queer and trans+ youth.
For 24 hours, we're launching a special effort to raise critically needed funds that allow the Institute to connect, educate, and empower queer and trans+ college students in the Midwest.
→ Give today and help us reach our $1,000 fundraising goal, with at least 20 monthly sustaining donors.
Our all-volunteer, grassroots team and board aim to empower students of diverse sexualities and genders to create sustainable change, lead higher education colleagues in adopting relevant and inclusive practices, and advance knowledge of sexuality and gender through advocacy and expansive programming.
Each year, we work alongside college students and higher education professionals to host MBLGTACC, America's largest conference for queer and trans+ college students. For the entire lifecycle of the planning process, we're there to provide professional development and tailored mentorship that builds student organizers’ project management skills, creativity, and confidence, and culminates in an outstanding attendee experience.
In the coming year, we're going to continue refining our organizational framework to ensure we remain ready at the leading edge of emerging needs and that we're addressing the issues important to members of our community. To do this, we need to meet two important goals: hire a full-time, paid staff member within one year and maintain stipends for volunteer team members. Your financial support will help us achieve these goals and re-imagine an educational climate that embraces diverse sexualities and genders.
Today’s fundraising event ends at 11:59 p.m. EST, so don’t wait, donate now to support queer and trans+ students here in the Midwest.
