Seeking Midwest queer and trans artists to feature through MBLGTACC 2023

The Midwest Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Asexual College Conference and the Midwest Institute for Sexuality and Gender Diversity will commission and feature the work of a Midwest artist, designer, or creative at the 31st annual MBLGTACC in Lexington this November.

Up to two finalists will receive $500 each for a special edition tabloid poster that speaks to this year's theme "Queer Joy as Our Lasting Legacy." We'll print a boutique run of these to make commemorative copies available to registered attendees (and our selected artists) at no additional cost. Based on the poster designs, one top finalist will receive an additional $500 to adapt their poster for our program booklet cover and a single on-stage slide.

We've jointly launched this search with a request for qualifications, which details what we're requesting as part of the RFQ, and breaks out the specs and timeline for the project. Qualifications are due by 5pm on Friday, August 11, 2023. Please carefully read the RFQ, and get in touch with Nick Pfost (nick@sgdinstitute.org), the Institute's director of marketing and communications, if you have any questions.
