About

At the Midwest Institute for Sexuality and Gender Diversity, we envision a liberated future where generations of queer and trans people live in abundance and their joy, knowledge, and experience guide our shared existence. We build community among queer and trans youth (and those who support them), expand knowledge of sexuality and gender, and create lasting change across the Midwest through advocacy and expansive programming.

Our programs

The Institute works with talented and committed student leaders from across the region to host the Midwest Bisexual Lesbian Gay Transgender Asexual College Conference (MBLGTACC), the largest conference hosted by and for LGBTQIA+ college students. Through this and other programs, we advance knowledge of sexuality and gender and we empower students to inspire sustainable change. We lead our higher education colleagues in relevant and inclusive practices.

Our services

We provide individualized technical assistance, consulting, and training to organizations seeking to advance knowledge of diverse sexualities and genders, and to increase capacity to support and serve the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual (LGBTQIA) community.
